Weekend August NPHC Show info including a delayed start

Again this month there are no ropers, they are at another event.  So, ENPHC in Fallon will start Saturday morning at 8am with Leadline classes and then shift back to the Working cow classes, just no Heading, Heeling, and Steer stopping.

Saturday night after the show will be the Annual Sheila Plimpton Member/Exhibitor Appreciation Dinner.  Baked Potato bar, Chicken, Enchiladas, Beans, and dessert.  There will be an informal NPHC Members sign in meeting.  The dinner will be held in the Parks & Recreation’s multipurpose building at the fairgrounds.  Either Anna or Roy will be able to give you directions.  It’s not far from the Dry Gulch, which is our normal venue.

Year-end awards reminder:  To qualify for NPHC Year-end awards, you can miss one 4-Judge POR, but you have to show in September in all of the classes that you are trying to qualify in.

NPHC’s 2nd Annual Trail Ride for Fun has been scheduled for October 7th at Washoe Lake State Park.  The park is on Hwy 395 about halfway between Carson City and Reno.  It was a great event last year and this year promises to be even better.  Talk to David or Roy for details and more information.

I will post the 2018 NPHC Show dates shortly.   Drive careful and see you at the show, Roy

NPHC Blast #3: Additional Exhibitor forms and Information

Hi everyone,

Here is the 2017 Membership form, year-end awards rules, Youth Incentive program, NPHC Lease, and list of NPHC Officers with contact information. (See this NPHC Web site for the forms)

Also included is the 2017 version of the NPHC Awards Questionnaire to help Sharon obtain your awards for the end of the year.

Remember the Member/Exhibitor Appreciation dinner has been moved from July to August.  This move may become permanent due to scheduling conflicts at the Fartgrounds.

Plans are progressing for the 2nd Annual APHA/NPHC Trail Ride for Fun in September.  The current plan is to again hold it at Washoe Lake State Park.  It’s a nice facility and there is water in the lake this year!  The two dates under consideration are Sept 23rd or Sept 30th, with the 23rd being the currently preferred date.  Please let David Ruby or me know which date is best or works for you.

Please contact me if you have additional questions or needs, or if you want to be removed from this email list.  Have a great day and see you soon, Roy
